1955 Chevy "Bel-Air"
After Bob & Nancy S. in AZ., retired their 1955 Chevy Nomad from the show circut, an new project began. Bob, Nancy and Dale Webber of Dale's Classic Customs started with the ideas
The car was channeled 1" over the Progressive Automotive CJ3 based chassis with stainless control arms, triangulated 4-bar and 9" Ford based rear end. The roof was lowered 1" and new glass was supplied by Bourret's Auto Glass.
The front fenders were re-shaped by lowering the profile 3/4". The hood was pancaked 1 1/2".
1956 rear quarter openings were added to the rear wheel openings. An 1 1/4" was added to the front fender opening.
An 1 5/8" was added to the bottom of the rockers for an even more channeled appearance. Custom SSBC 4-piston Extreme brakes with custom shields for plenty of stopping. Plenty of room for the brakes with the Budnik Directional Revolvers, 18" x 8" front and 20" x 10" rear wheels and BF Goodrich 245/40/18 and 295/40/20 tires
Rudy Ortega at New Beginnings Auto Body custom mixed and painted the car with Matrix Red Nectarine Candy. Street & Performance polished the LS2 block and the 4L60 transmission case.
The leather interior was done by Howard Mongold of Howard's Fabricating. Custom amchine work was done by ACS Products.
